Mexico City club Yu Yu to reopen this September · News ⟋ RA

Marie Davidson, Laurel Halo and DVS1 are among the first artists booked at the venue's new location. Mexico City club Yu Yu is making its return this fall. The club, which operated out of a 19th-century home in Juárez from 2017 through 2024, will reopen in a new location starting on September 5th. The venue shut its doors in July of last year, citing "the adversities brought on by these types of projects" as the reasoning behind the closure.At the time, the team said they hoped to reopen one day "with more strength and enthusiasm." Yu Yu's new space, located in a former casino, is also outfitted with a cinema for screenings and a dedicated bar area. Laurel Halo, Loris and Seagit Arc will play the venue's reopening party on September 5th—other artists confirmed to the September programme include Marie Davidson, DVS1, Daniel Avery and HAAi.According to a press release, the new iteration of the club will be led "in collaboration with the artists and promoters who helped define Yu Yu’s legacy," including Paurro, DJ Tennis, Nicola Cruz and Derretida.Browse Yu Yu's full September lineup below.

Yeshiva University settles conflict with YU Pride Alliance – Deseret News

The club, called Hareni, “will operate in accordance with the approved guidelines of Yeshiva University’s senior rabbis,” Yeshiva's statement said. Yeshiva University Pride Alliance will now be known as Hareni and will be free to operate like any other student club at Yeshiva.The lawsuit began in April 2021, when students involved in what was then called the YU Pride Alliance sued Yeshiva, alleging that school leaders were violating the New York City Human Rights Law by refusing to treat their group like other student clubs.After the Supreme Court ruling, Yeshiva officials temporarily suspended all student clubs on campus. But then YU Pride Alliance offered to forgo court-ordered recognition so that other campus groups could operate as usual.Yeshiva faced a setback at an early stage in the case when a trial court ruled that it likely didn’t qualify for the religious exemption and needed to recognize YU Pride Alliance as the lawsuit played out.
